Ted and company are putting finishing touches on the interior of 34 Forbes Avenue. All the finished carpentry is complete with the exception of:
1. trim around the fireplace
2. closet interiors
3. basement stairs
4. bannister installation
5. cherry tops installation
6. adjustable shelf installation
If you go into the basement, you will find all these parts painted/polyurethaned and ready to
The most dramatic pieces are the cherry tops:
Jeremy spent a long time matching the grains in the wood when he assembled the planks. It has paid off beautifully. This is the eating counter in the dining room/kitchen. Jeremy is putting 8 coats of poly on the cherry. He and Ted will install them next week.
We have door knobs.
We have cabinet knobs and pulls.
Ted has finished and primed the fireplace dry wall. Next week the trim will be installed and the painters (oh yes, the painters are in residence) will paint (that's what they do after all.)
Ok. Painting of walls is happening.

Both bedrooms and baths on the second floor have their first coat of paint. Nice job so far, boys.
Jeff, the elctrician is in the house. He is installing the last remaining outlets and readying the house for the fixtures.

There's a rumor that Chet will install some toilets this weekend. Ted is going to pick up our appliances from CoCo Plum this morning. (There is a story behind that name, but I forget.) They go in next week also.
Oh, and lest I forget, some additional shots of the extraordinary third floor:
Kudos to Ted and Jeremy for their incredible progress.
